This Item is in Very Good Condition. There are some normal signs of wear for a guitar of its age - finish checking, scratches, chips, etc. but it is fully functional and structurally sound. A previous owner replaced the original tuners. The holes from the original tuner screws are visible and there is a small chunk of wood missing under the low E tuner (see pics) but everything is stable. The nut appears to have been replaced with a nicely made bone nut. Includes newer Guild hard shell case.
Built in Chicago in 1972, this guitar has surely withstood the test of time. As visually appealing (if not more so) than anything created today and with attention to detail in all the right places, it is truly a player's guitar. While there are clearly some cosmetic blemishes, this particular instrument is extraordinarily easy to play and has a sweet sound that is just as inspiring. It is currently set up with low action (.070" low E; .055" high E; 12th fret) and has no dead spots or excessive fret buzz anywhere on the neck. The DeArmond pickups, tortoise shell headstock veneer, and Bigsby vibrato system round out the appointments on this unique guitar that has a look, sound, and feel all it's own.
