ANALOG, DIGITAL & TAPE DELAY EFFECTS ADD RHYTHM AND DEPTH TO YOUR ACOUSTIC SOUND
Three elemental delay types – Analog, Digital, Tape – in one pedal, voiced and mixed in parallel to give your acoustic new rhythms without compromising your tone.
Creating echo and delay effects couldn’t be easier. Turn the Delay knob or tap a tempo to get the rhythm and feel for the moment. Any changes in delay time will create a temporary pitch effect, just like the originals that inspired our versions.
A Repeats control sets how many echoes you hear while the Level knob blends in the delay alongside your signal and not on top of it. Feel free to dial them up for some wild effects.
-
ANALOG: Designed to reproduce the warm, lush character of legendary bucket-brigade delays from the 80’s. You’ll hear the echo’s high frequencies degrade when the Feedback control’s up high, but your acoustic tone will remain unaffected.
-
DIGITAL: A no-nonsense echo-maker with clear and pronounced repeats.
-
TAPE: We were inspired by the classic echos created by recording sound to tape and playing it back. We hope you are too.
ECHOBACK USER GUIDE
-
DELAY SELECT: Selection switch offers quick and easy access to 3 delay effects: Analog, Digital, and Tape. Each effect is inspired by popular delays and then voiced to work better with the broad sonics of acoustic instruments.
-
TAP TEMPO: EchoBack lets you tap the footswitch twice to set a tempo rather than turning the Delay Time knob. To do this, hold footswitch for 2 seconds. The LED turns green and flashes the current tempo. Tap footswitch twice to set a new tempo. After 5 seconds, it exits tap tempo.
-
DELAY SPILLOVER: When the footswitch is pressed to bypass the effect and the LED is unlit, the delay will continue to repeat naturally to avoid an abrupt change in sound. Note that delay spillover will only be effective when the Bypass switch is set to Buffer. To change this to a full mute, hold the footswitch while applying power to the pedal. The LED will flash to confirm this change.
-
DELAY TIME: Turn this control to choose a delay time from 0ms to 800ms.
-
REPEATS: Use the Repeats control to set how many echoes you hear.
-
LEVEL: The Level control mixes the delay in parallel, adding as much or as little echo as you want in addition to your direct sound.
-
TRUE BYPASS: With true bypass, the pedal’s electronics are literally removed from the signal chain. For those who prefer a buffered bypass, AFX Mini effect pedals are switchable.
-
AUDIO PATH SWITCH: AFX Minis allow you to choose the audio path on which a particular effect will be processed. You do this by flipping the Audio Path switch on the front of the pedal.
-
DC POWER: In order to pack a lot of functionality into the smallest stompbox size we could find, AFX Minis require external power. Be sure to use a Fishman 910-R(120VAC) or 910-U(230VAC) power adapter to ensure the above specs.
