TUSQ is synthetic "ivory" manufactured by Graph Tech. It is an organic material that contains no oil or animal-byproducts. It is specifically designed to produce the "right frequencies" and optimal energy transfer every time since it is a very consistent material and rich in harmonic content.
To determine necessary nut size, measure width of guitar neck at the nut (where peghead meets the fretboard). Professional installation is recommended. Nuts must be sized to fit and string slots filed to the proper depth. Blanks are partially shaped. Top edge is rounded over for speedier fitting and installation.
This nut is designed to fit left-handed 6-String Taylor acoustic guitars with a 1 3/4" wide nut.
