This Taylor American Dream 27 is my pick because of its simplicity. There is nothing really fancy about this one, but it has a great sound. It features the understated looks of a sapele body and a tropical mahogany top, along with modest decorative appointments. The combination of tone woods creates a sound that is robust in the mid range, with nice color on the high and low ends. One of the biggest draws for me is the lack of electronics.
While there are still ways to amplify the sound, there is more of a focus on the natural tone quality of the instrument. I think this guitar is ideal for accompanying vocals and for blending in with a group.
